Grateful Trip to Canada
なぜかここから英語ですが、というのも2月に行ったカナダ旅行について、英語でまとめていたのです。それをいまさらですが一応記録として残したくて乗せました。カナダ、素敵なところですね♪もう一度行きたい!

It has passed 4 months already. Well, yes, my trip to Canada was happened with my friend in the middle of February.

It is very true that you don't really visit some places if you live there, right? At least, to me, yes, I do agree with it. During my life in San Francsico, I didn't have chance to visit Canada. Canada is so close where you can visit anytime you want. Few hours flight will take you there. I always wanted to go but never had a chance. Ok, the last destination from San Francisco should be definitely Canada.

But where in Canada? I thought. Tronto? Montreal? Calgary? Vancouver? The question ended up with my friend's grateful offer. "I can get us tickets since I have accumulated mileage." As you know, some mileage programs allow you to reserve seats with limited offer. When to fly out, where to stop by, when to fly back, etc.

Well, it was just so perfect! We were not able to decide which part of Canada we should try out. Since her mileage allowed us to fly from San Francsico to Vancouver, our destination was decided: Vancouver. Winter Olympic was happening very soon after my visit to Vancouver. Everything we saw was in the Oympic color. People were in the Olympic mood.

As soon as I arrived at the airport, I instantly fell in love with this city! Water can be seen everywhere, fountain, mini artificial streams, etc. Even the air is misty and foggy. I just love this wetness in the air. Water is the word when I think of this city.

We arrived very early in the morning and decided to take a train to the hotel in downtown. Put our luggage and be free out to the Candadian air! You know when you settled down during the trip, you would feel like eating out. We took a short nap and went out to explore which restaurant we should try for our first meal in this beautiful city.

Since we didn't have a good guidebook, we just chose this spaghetti restaurant, called, Old Spaghetti Factory, http://www.osf.com/where one nice Canadian resident recommended while we were strolling outside. I normally would try something more exciting while traveling but I didn't mind on that day. We were so hungry and were tired.

Wow, it turned out to be the lovable, cozy and reasonable spaghetti place in the middle of the downtown, Vancouver. The main dish came with some french bread with salted butter, soup, and salad. Dessert and a cup of coffee, of course. Huge meatballs, not so great-too-boiled spaghetti, and a big portion. It sounds very typical among chain restaurants. But we were very satisfied with people's attitude and atmosphere on the way to the restaurant. You can find this chain spaghetti restaurant on the west coast not only in Canada but also in the States.

Old fashioned spaghetti gave us an energy in the rain on the first day of Vancouver. A great meal doesn't have to be at a pricy restaurant. The first meal was planted in our memory.
